Westercon 64 will be at the Fairmont San José. The Fairmont was the headquarters hotel of ConJosé, the 2003 Worldcon and the 2009 World Fantasy Convention. SFSFC organized ConJosé and the 2009 WFC.

To reserve your room, click here for the online booking form, or call 1-800-346-5550 and mention Westercon.

Please note that due to a large event happening in San José the week before Westercon, we have very few room nights available on the nights before the convention. If you planned on combining your stay with a vacation in the area, we recommend that you plan to stay after the convention, when we have additional room nights available.

Room Rates

Hotel room rates will be:

  • $119 for single/double occupancy
  • $144 triple
  • $169 quad

Note that triple and quad occupancy mean “three or four adults in the room,” respectively, not “three or four beds.” Standard sleeping rooms have either one or two beds. Children (age under 18) staying with their parents do not count toward the room occupancy above. For example, a couple with two 17-or-younger children would pay the two-person rate.

Room rates are for the room (not per person) and do not include combined Business District and City Fees of $3/night or combined 14% Convention Center District and Hotel Occupancy Taxes. Including these fees and taxes (for example), a single/double room’s net cost is $138.66 per night.

The Two Towers

The Fairmont has two towers connected by a skywalk at the second floor. Westercon is using space only in the Main Tower. Rooms in the other tower are newer and generally cost more. Our standard room block is in the main tower, but you may be offered an opportunity to upgrade to the other tower at a higher cost. Hospitality functions will be only in the Main Tower.

Internet Access

In-room internet access is free if you are a member of Fairmont’s President’s Club frequent-traveler program. See our Internet Access page for more details and a further explanation of which areas of the hotel do and do not have internet access.
