I don’t remember if I pre-supported. Is there a way to find out?

We will have membership database posted in a few days, after we get back from Arizona and have a few days to get the data all processed. However, I did just walk over and checked at our table here in Tempe. You are not listed as either a voter or pre-supporter. We’ll also have online registration available in a few days, but if you want to register immediately, you can send us a check for $45 payable to Westercon 64 to PO Box 61363, Sunnyvale CA 94088-1363 along with your name and address.

Hi! we pre-supported at last year’s con and will need to upgrade to attending, but plan on bringing our daughter with us as well. Could not find info on regular memberships as of yet. Do you have info on children’s rates? Can’t wait for this one. San Jose is my HOME TOWN!!

The prices of regular memberships (and the cost to upgrade from pre-supporting) are on this page where you posted this comment. Up near the top of this page it says “Attending memberships $45″, etc. (Those are the current rates as I write this and will go up at a future date.) In your particular case, you have pre-supporting memberships, so you want to “Upgrade Pre-Supporting to Attending: $30″ each.

Note that “Upgrade Pre-Supporting to Attending” is a selection on our Online Registration Form as well.

We have not established Child membership rates yet.

will there be one-day memberships available at the Con? (We have friends that might want to look in for a day?)

There will be one-day memberships, but we won’t set the price until we get closer to the con.

I too live within the San Jose area and would love to attend! I’ve never been to a Con before so this would be my first. Is there any chance that this event might sell out before I have the opportunity to register? (Finances are tight in the summer months.)

Westercon 64 does not have a membership cap or limit, so there is no chance that we will sell out. Of course, the sooner you buy your membership, the less it will cost you, as the price goes up over time. We hope to see you there!

Hello WesterCon 64. I haven’t received PR 1 yet, and don’t seem to have picked up one at BayCon.
I am listed as “#279 Ps” – do I need to upgrade to “attending”, or was the PR “lost in the Mail”?
If so, do I need to send $40 or $50?

You are listed in the database as “do not send me publications” – you probably checked this on your membership form. You can get a soft copy at http://www.westercon64.org/wp-content/uploads/PR1-V3.pdf if you like.

And yes, you should upgrade to Attending. The cost is $50 now, but you will lose your pre-supporting discount on August 1st if you don’t upgrade by then.

Is it possible for people who can’t make it to the convention to get one of the tshirts?

We’re selling the shirts at various conventions, and that’s probably the easiest way to get one. If you’re not planning to be at any of the conventions at which we’re sitting at information tables, you’ll be able to purchase a membership by mail order. We’ll be posting the details for mail-ordering shirts later.
